During the 2026 Spring session (April 15-May 5) of the Canton Fair, buyers and exhibitors are invited to explore Guangdong's rich cultural heritage at the Guangdong Museum.

As a leading cultural landmark showcasing Lingnan heritage, the museum offers a comprehensive look at the region's history, natural environment, and traditional craftsmanship. Its permanent galleries feature themes ranging from Guangdong's historical development and ecological diversity to exquisite displays of ceramics, Duan inkstones, and Chaozhou woodcarving—highlighting the artistry and cultural legacy of southern China.
In addition to its core exhibitions, the museum is currently hosting three special shows that provide deeper insight into Guangdong's global connections and aesthetic traditions:
"Shared Prosperity: A Millennium of Guangdong's Foreign Trade" traces over 1,000 years of trade history, reflecting the province's role as a key hub along the Maritime Silk Road.

"A Journey of Flower Discovery: An Exhibition of Chinese Flower Culture" presents the elegance and symbolism of flowers in Chinese culture, offering an immersive experience of traditional aesthetics.

"Canton Export Lacquerwares in the Qing Dynasty" highlights the refined craftsmanship of Canton lacquerware produced for international markets, illustrating early cultural exchanges between China and the world.

During the Canton Fair, both exhibitors and buyers can enjoy exclusive benefits. By presenting valid Canton Fair credentials, visitors can explore the museum for free. In addition, they can receive a special 12% discount (pay 88%) at the museum's cafe on 2F. The cafe features a range of creative cultural desserts inspired by the exhibitions, blending local flavors with artistic presentation.
This initiative offers Canton Fair attendees a unique opportunity to combine business with culture—discovering the stories behind Guangdong's global trade legacy while enjoying a curated cultural experience in the heart of Guangzhou.
